Note: Both the reds benefit from opening to breathe for several hours; ideal drinking temperature - 22ºC.

Colour: Brilliant, dark plum.

Aroma: Intense blackberry/cassis with fruitcake and plum.

Palate: Strong initial fruit flavours backed up by good acid and a firm silky tannin structure. Good length on the palate.

Overall: A medium to full bodied wine with good fruit flavours, drink now till 2008. Will really benefit from another year or three in bottle.

Food? Rack of lamb with mint sauce will go with this very well.

Also try it with Italian style veal and tomato dishes.
