TASTING NOTES
Note: Both the reds benefit from opening to breathe for several hours; ideal drinking temperature - 22ēC.

2001 SHIRAZ         (Bronze Medal)

Colour:
Bright, dark plum / cherry.

Nose: Intense complex mix of blackberry, black pepper  and spice.

Palate: Intense mouth filling berry & spice flavours balanced by firm but silky tannins.
Excellent length with a clean lingering spicy finish.

Overall: A full flavoured Shiraz that is very easy to drink now. Has enough strength and complexity to develop through till 2010.
Like most of our reds, opening an hour or two or decanting before drinking allows the flavours to open out more.
A crust may develop with age.

Food? Roast lamb, steak or any full flavoured meal.
It would also go wonderfully with tomato and meat based pasta.
